Construction Estimator

American Asphalt, a local family owned Heavy Highway/Site Contractor located in Northeast PA is looking for an aggressive estimator with a focus on bidding bid site work & utilities in a fast paced environment.

Assignments include complete project estimating & project management from solicitation to final close out. Includes takeoffs, subcontractor & supplier solicitation, cost/production estimation, bid preparation, documentation, cost control and progress invoices.  Strong estimating / construction office management is a plus.  Minimum 5 years experience & strong Word, Excel, HCSS, Agtek, math & communication skills are required.  B.S. degree in engineering preferred.

Experienced operator with off-road trucks, Dozer, Excavator, Loader.  Overtime is required and six day work week during the season is mandatory. Must be production oriented and team player.

Experienced Equipment Operators

Tri-axle Truck Drivers (Not Hiring at this time)
CDL Driver for triaxle truck delivering aggregate and asphalt products.

Heavy Equipment Mechanics
Candidates would possess mechanical and operational skills for heavy equipment and own their own tools. Knowledge of Construction and Quarry Mobile Equipment a plus.

 Computer skills and possession of a CDL are preferred but not necessary.

Welders (Not Hiring at this time)

 Looking for an experienced arc welder able to weld flat, vertical and overhead. Fabrication is a plus.
